Anita "Edie" Louise Carpenter

Anita “Edie” Louise Carpenter aged 82 of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away peacefully on October 21^st, in her home from natural causes.  Edie, born on August 15^th, 1940, youngest child of Richard and Louisa (Oleson) Pearson.  She grew up in Fostoria, Iowa and graduated from Milford High School, Iowa.  In 1960 Edie moved to Michigan.  She was united in marriage to Lester “Les” E. Carpenter in 1975 in Galesburg. 

Edie is survived by her five children Diane (Keith) Dillard, Sheri (Dave) Wiatrowski, Bradley (Karen) Carpenter, Shawn (Carrie) Vosburg, and Nels Vosburg.  Edie has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Les in 1996.

A celebration of her life will be held Monday, October 31^st, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Galesburg with time for visiting following the celebration.
