Anna May Wright

WRIGHT, ANNA M. Three Rivers (formerly of Allegan) Anna Wright, age 77, passed away September 12, 2012 at her home in Three Rivers, Michigan. Mrs. Wright was born February 18, 1935 in Riceville, Kentucky, the daughter of W.E. "Deak" Conley and Shirley (Burke) Conley. In her younger years Ann worked as a telephone operator, while working as a clerk in various stores in later years. She enjoyed being around people and on the go playing bingo, cards, shopping, or going to garage sales to look for bargains on items she could donate or give away to friends & family. She also loved to fish and grow all kinds of plants and trees, but it became difficult to do after her stroke in 2007. At that time, she took up collecting banks of all kinds, angels, and items that could be donated to help the Commission on Aging organization. Giving to others gave her great joy, and a reason for living. Surviving is her husband, Steve of Three Rivers. Her children: daughters, Joyce & Royal Thompson, Cindi & Dane Kurtz; sons, Lyle & Karen Thompson, Chad & Elizabeth Wright, all of Allegan. Grandchildren: Ryan and Royce (Kelsey) Thompson, Joshua (Jen) and Sarah (Brandon) Kurtz, Holly (Roger) Thompson, all of Allegan. Tara and Chris TerVree, Jension; adopted granddaughter, Jessica Tuer, Allegan; two brothers, Bob Conley, Gobles; Jim (Wanda) Conley, Allegan; sister, Nancy Locatis, Allegan; brother-in-law, Paul Jensen, of Farwell; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and friends who made Ann feel special and cared for her for five years: Diane Buell and Jan Bresson. She was preceded in death by both parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Forrest and Helen Wright; sister Billie Jensen; sister-in-law Margaret Conley; brother-in-law Thomas Locatis; niece Judy Vergon. At Anna's request, cremation has taken place, and no service will be held. Memorials may be made to Three Rivers Health Hospice, 222 S. Main or the St. Joseph County Commission on Aging, 103 S.
