Anne Michelle Wallace

Anne Michelle (Fiebiger) Wallace of Plainwell, MI passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the age of 56. She was born on  December 24, 1965, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Warren and Sandra Jo (Pursell)Ted.

She attended Plainwell High School where she enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball. She graduated in the class of 1984. Following graduation she attended Davenport University receiving her Associate’s Degree in 1987. 1987 was an exciting year for Anne for on September 12 she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life and husband of thirty-four years: Gary Wallace at the Plainwell Methodist Church. Later she returned to Plainwell Public Schools and served as a Teacher’s Aid for twenty years until choosing to retire in 2021.

In her spare time she enjoyed working on her 7-10 split with the local bowling league, scrapbooking, or traveling. More than anything she loved being a grandmother aka “Mi Mi”. Anne will be fondly remembered for: a closely guarded secret chocolate chip cookie recipe that everyone loved, being willing to help anyone whether they want it or not, and being a loving grandmother.

Anne is preceded in her passing by her mother: Sandra Jo Fiebiger.

Left to cherish Anne’s loving memory is her husband: Gary Wallace; children: Travis (Krista) Wallace and Shelby Wallace; father: Warren Ted; grandchildren: Thatcher and Saylah Wallace; siblings: Brad (Julie) Fiebiger and Carol Settle; and nieces and nephews: Brandon (Whitney) Fiebiger, Mitchell Fiebiger, Stephanie (Andrew) Taylor and Erik Settle.

Memorials made in Anne’s memory may be directed to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Envelopes are available at the funeral home. 

In accordance with Anne’s wishes cremation has taken place and a public time of visiting will be held at Avink, McCowen & Secord, 120 South Woodhams Street, Plainwell, MI 49080 on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Anne will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery during a private committal service on a later date.
