Annette Ellen Sedlar (Boekeloo), 54, of Traverse City, MI passed away unexpectedly on April 17th while visiting family in Kalamazoo, MI.
Born July 30th, 1957 in Kalamazoo to parents Hubert J. Boekeloo and Patricia Anne Boekeloo (Dawson), Annette graduated from Loy Norrix High School in 1975 and moved to Traverse City shortly after. Annette married James Thomas Sedlar on September 19th, 1981and had two daughters who she devoted her life to.
Annette never met a person that she didn't like. One of her favorite sayings was, "A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet," and her greatest happiness in life came from making other people feel loved and celebrated.
Annette is survived by her husband James; daughters Lindsey Heinig (Sedlar) and Betsy Sedlar; Mother Patricia, sisters Sandra Dawson Hunt (Boekeloo), Tricia DeFalco (Boekeloo), Julie Edgerly (Boekeloo) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
She is preceded in death by her Father Hubert.
There was no one else in this world like Annette and the family invites you to celebrate her life at a memorial service this Saturday, April 21st, at 1pm at Gull Lake Area Community Church in Richland, MI. The family will be greeting Annette's loved ones beginning at 12pm and there will be a luncheon to follow immediately after the memorial.
