Arthur Leroy Bradley

Arthur “Art” Leroy Bradley, age 98 of Wayland, Michigan passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at his family residence.
Art Bradley was born in Marcellus, Michigan on 05/30/1923 in Marcellus, Michigan to Leroy and Mae Bradley. He was an Army veteran that served from 1942-1945. He worked in the trailer industry after serving during WWII, farming and then Continental Can where he retired. After the passing of his first wife, Art also worked for Marcellus Schools as an athletic custodian.
Velma M. Bradley preceded Art in death in February of 2000. They had been married for 58 years and had 4 children. Art is preceded in death by his sisters Mable Gilbert; Lucille Reigle; and Lavern Reigle; and half-brother Dale Bradley; and 2 grandsons Robbie and Kevin Bradley. Art is survived by his stepsister Shirley Morlan; children Dorothy Mae Bradley of Kalamazoo, Robert (Hilda) Bradley of Portage; Jerry (Bonnie)Bradley of Vandalia, and Craig (Kathy) Bradley of Constantine. Art had 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren from his first marriage.
Art found love again in his eighties and married his second wife Blanche Vanderlaan on 10/15/2006. The were married for 15 wonderful years. Art’s family with Blanche included Gail (Norm); Renee (Keith); Louie (Beth); Larry (Sue); and Wayne. Art had 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Art enjoyed fishing, camping, carpentry, and eating sweets. He was a caring man that always had time and love for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He would often take his grandchildren up North for the summer for camping and fishing. Art loved carpentry, Art also loved playing cards, drinking soda, and reading western novels.
Art touched many lives, and he will be greatly missed by his surviving family members.
