Babetta A. Schmidt

Passed away Oct. 10, 2014 at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice in Battle Creek. Babetta was born Feb. 10, 1940 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Allen and Betty (Feek) Osmun. She graduated Gobles High School and became a respected Hair Dresser in Kalamazoo for many years. Babs loved family, gardening and her faith above all else. She Married John R. Schmidt Jan. 31, 1981 who survives. Also surviving are 6 children; Laurie Ann (Todd Chapman) Fisher, Robert A Tolis, Kaarie Jo Horton, Suzanne M. (Jon) Hall, Sarah J. (Phil) Smith and Kristine K. (Denny) LaPoint, 12 grandchildren, Mindy Jo (Justin) McBrayer, Jeramie L. Horton, Courtney R. (Zach) Agy, Kody J. LaPoint, Erinne K. Murphy, Tenton M. Murphy, Coty P. Smith, Jacob S. Hall, Cameron R. Murphy, Jayme L. LaPoint, Kenyan E. Smith and Jenna Hall a great granddaughter, Kayleigh A. McBrayer. Proceeded in death by granddaughter Erikka L. Murphy. At her request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00am Oct. 16, 2014 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Marshall. Memorial contributions may be made to Lifespan Hospice or trinity Episcopal Church Board of Missions.
