Beth Michelle Locker

Beth Michelle Locker, of Kalamazoo, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the age of 54. Beth was born on December 4, 1964 in San Antonio, TX. She was the daughter of John Grant and Melanie (Ailes) Mursch. Beth was a 1982 graduate of Portage Central High School. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to Bob Seger and loved drawing and painting. She also enjoyed reading any Stephen King novel. She is described by her family as an amazing artist, a devoted grandmother, humorous, and bold. Her love was unconditional; spending time with friends and family was her favorite pastime. Beth is preceded in death by her father, John Grant. She is survived by her four children: Levi Locker, of Kalamazoo; Danielle (Aaron) Smith, of Kalamazoo; Chad Locker, of Kalamazoo; and Kimberly (Austin) Perry, of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren: Brendon Knowlton, Emmeline Smith, Mack Smith, Aaliyah Locker, Lenee Locker, and Benjamin Perry. She is also survived by her mother, Melanie Mursch, of Kalamazoo and two sisters: Cheri (Rob) Locker, of Grand Ledge and Amie (Mark) Beilby, of Paw Paw. Beth has been cremated, and the family will announce information for her memorial service at a later date.
