Betty Wilder

Elizabeth (Betty) C. Wilder Betty Wilder, 88, passed away July 6, 2011, proceeded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Lester, and siblings Peter, John, Bertha Slater, and Nell Kiewiet. Born March 9, 1923 in Kalamazoo, daughter of Dirk and Catherine (Van Liere) Goldsmeding. She was a gracious and loving mother of four daughters: Sharon (Gary) Pohl of Portage, Bev (Dean) Lauer of Colorado, Mary Wilder of Battle Creek, and Carol (Leigh) Farrance of Kalamazoo; also grandmother to six grand children and three great grand children. A private family service will be held Monday, July 11 at the Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Adopt-A-Friend for Life of SW Michigan, PO Box 251, Paw Paw MI, 49079, because of her love for all animals.
