Beverly Gilliland

Beverly Joanne Gilliland of Colon, MI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on August 20, 1935, in Ecorse, MI, to John and Sylvia Hodgkinson.

Beverly was raised in the Catholic faith and was the eldest of her siblings. She spent 40 years residing in Colon, MI, where she built a life filled with love and cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Rich Gilliland, her siblings Maryellen Murdock and Sandy Calhoun, and one grandchild.

Beverly is survived by her children: Cheryl (Ken) Sass, Becky Gilliland, and Michelle (Steve) Slaughter; her sister Jackie Mead; 10 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love and family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A service to honor Beverly's life will be held at a later date.
