Brent Richard Benson
Brent Richard Benson of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Ascension-Borgess Hospital at the age of 73. He was born November 5, 1948 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Richard and Elaine (Decker) Benson. Brent graduated from Portage Northern High School in 1966.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Susan; daughters Laura and Jennifer; grandchildren Elizabeth, Phillip, and Ryan; great-grandchildren Lucy, Liam and Cyrus; sister Linda (Jim) VanderVeen; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and beloved grandson Jacob Harley Corstange.
Brent enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, hunting and trapping from a very young age. He loved being with his grandchildren. Brent touched many lives and will be missed dearly by his friends and family.
