Brian W. Brazier

Covid messed with other health issues in his body, and on Sunday, November 7, 2021, Brian W. Brazier left this earth and entered Heaven. He would have been 64 on the 18th. He was currently again in Plainwell, MI, the town of his birth, in the process of leaving Grand Rapids, the city of his adult life. Brian loved music. Playing in the High School band, singing in his teens and adulthood. His bass voice was beautiful. Especially when laughing. Another love was food, thus always working second jobs for caterers and helping at church and camp events was as much fun as work. He had the epitome of a servant’s heart. “Do what’s right because it’s the right thing to do.” But what Brian loved most, was his family. He was an amazing father who insisted on wrestling for young sons, “because it’s important to them.” Being at something they were in, running on 3 ½ hours sleep, staying up late to talk their life out with them on the phone, etc. Becoming a Papa excelled all of that. Whether they joined the family via birth or other ways, he was their “PAPPA!” He’d married Cheryl, the love of his life, in May 1980. Forty-one years later they still madly in love. Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Byron J. and Ardis (Culver) Brazier, several miscarried babies, and his daughter-in-love, Cyndi (Schwanz) Brazier. He is already missed by his wife Cheryl and kids, Byron (Paige), Benson, Brandon, Brent (Kayla) Brazier. His grandchildren by birth, Analyse, Elliot and Oswald Brazier. By different routes, Marcus Brown, MiKaedam & Kadriel Knoll, Marlie Jo Cahill, Riley Mercer and Logan Ingersoll. He’s survived by his brother Aaron (Michelle) Brazier, brother and sisters-in-law. Cousins, nephews, nieces, and their families. Celebration of Life will be at a later due to Covid. While visiting Brian's tribute page please take a moment to light a candle or share a memory with the family. The Brazier family is being assisted by McCowen and Secord Family Funeral Homes Marshall-Gren Chapel, 120 S. Woodhams Street, Plainwell, MI 49080. 269-685-5881.
