Bruce E. Aldrich passed away August 23rd, 2020 of Natural Causes. He was born March 15th, 1938 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Maurice and Grace (Sigler) Aldrich.
Bruce was a 1956 graduate of Kalamazoo Central and a 1965 graduate of Western Michigan University with a B.B.A. in Industrial Management. While at W.M.U. he was a member of Alpha Kappa Phi fraternity and the W.M.U. Veterans Club. Bruce enlisted in the U.S. Army- Army Security Agency and served from 1957 to 1960. For two of those years, he was stationed at the border town of Helmstedt, West Germany.
Bruce was employed at the General Motors Kalamazoo Metal Fabricating Plant for thirty-three years and retired as General Supervisor of Plant Accounting. A true outdoors-man, Bruce was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper, boater, and slow-pitch softball player and manager. He led an active social life and was a member of the Portage/ Schoolcraft Eagles 3531, Ducks Unlimited - Paw Paw, and the Beacon Club.
Bruce is survived and missed by a nephew Stephen Hyska and nieces Chiara Petrucci, Diane Crill, Karen Ely, and Donna Aldrich Listro along with numerous great-nieces, nephews, and cousins especially James and Richard & Fran Tennbuschen. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Carole Petrucci, half-brother Donald M. Aldrich and Don’s daughter Sandra Adams.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice. A graveside service will be held on September 14, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Mount Ever Rest Memorial Park located at 3941 S. Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008.
