Carmel Hall, age 76, of Plainwell, went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2019. Carmel was born on March 17, 1943 to Grover & Mae (Whitaker) Hall. Visit with his family and friends on Saturday November 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the McCowen & Secord Funeral Home Marshall and Gren Chapel: 120 S. Woodhams St. in Plainwell. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Carmel’s family includes his children: Jodi (Mike) Richmond, Jason (Tylyn Brown) Hall, Karen Hall, Kevin (Hillary) Hall, Danny (Jenny) Hall and Gary Hall; his siblings: include: Hobert (Sue Anson) Hall, Alkie (Verne) Holden, Faye (Rich) Risner, Ronnie Hall, Jim Hall, Debbie Walley and Rick (Denise) Hall; 19 grandchildren with one on the way; 2 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Paul Hall, Robert Hall, Shirley Marshall, Lucille LaFountain and Ray Hall. Carmel cherished family gatherings and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Carmel worked as a Timber Buyer and Logger all his life. He was a hard worker and a legend in the woods. He was a semiprofessional pool player who was well known. A highlight was playing with Minnesota Fats and Cornbread Red who was a friend and travel companion. Carmel listened to George Jones.
