Carole Stokes

Stokes, Carole M. 6/16/1938 - 5/28/2015 Portage, Mi Carole has made her journey home to be with her lord and maker. She was born June 16, 1938 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and grew up in Point Edward, Ontario. Beloved wife of Harold (Jack) Stokes. Loving mother of Michael (Kathy) Stokes, Karen Stokes (Reginald Carter) and Patrick Stokes. Cherished grandmother of John Stokes and Garrett Carter. Sister of Tom Chesher(Bonnie) and sister-in-law Noli Stokes(Jim). Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Edith Chesher. Most of her life she lived in Portage, Mi as a house wife and mother. Carole gave so freely of her time and talents. She was a Graduate of Davenport University. Opened Battle Creek Travel Agency. Member of the Red Hatters and Beta Sigma Phi. Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 1:00pm at Texas Corners Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to www.diabetes.org/donate.
