Carolyn Ann Evans

Carolyn Ann Evans passed away peacefully Monday, March 21, 2022, at the Life Care Center in Plainwell. Carol was born in Williamston, MI on January 17, 1944. She was one of five children born to Dwayne and Pauline (Shepler) Lamb.

Carol spent her working years as a Nurse Aid at the Life Care Center and mother to three children. She enjoyed doing puzzles, crosswords, crocheting and reading.  She also enjoyed walks the longer the better. But she loved seeing her family.  Her grandchildren always brought a big smile to her face whenever they were around.

She is survived by her children: Richard Hotchkiss of Kalamazoo, Deborah (Tim) Cross of Battle Creek, David Hotchkiss of Plainwell; four grandchildren: Michael, Christopher, Eric, Amber; seven great grandchildren; her siblings: Kathy (Bob) VanSickler, Melanie (Victor) Patton, and Jim (Lisa) Lamb as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Russell Lamb; her grandson Alex Hotchkiss.

Following her wishes, cremation is being handled by Avink McCowen Secord Funeral Home in Plainwell, MI. A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
