Cecil “Sandy” Raymond Howard, age 90, of Wyoming, MI passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018. He was born March 8, 1928 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Alberto B. Howard and Bertha I. (Conkright) Howard. On Monday, February 11, 1952, Cecil married Dolores Anna Spieker in Canute, Oklahoma.
Cecil was known to many as, “Sandy”, was a member at the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Parish in Wyoming, MI for many years. Sandy served in the Army for four years and was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal “Cpl (T)”. In his later years, Sandy enjoyed being in nature while watching the birds and submersing himself in woodworking.
Sandy is survived by his wife Dolores (Spieker) Howard, daughter Terri (Jim) Caro of Jenison, and four sons: Don ( Vicki) Howard of Comstock, Ron (Joan) Howard of Jenison, Larry (Pam) Howard of Wyoming and Robert (Sue) Howard of Rockford, twelve grandchildren, and fifteen wonderful great-grandchildren.
Sandy is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Bert Howard, and Jim Howard, along with one son Michael Howard, and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for visitation starting at 10:30 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on Monday, April 23, 2018 with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 AM.
