Charles Robert Greenfield

GREENFIELD - Charles "Chuck" Robert Greenfield, aged 81, of Grand Rapids, went home to his Heavenly Father on March 13, 2010. Chuck was preceded in death by his mother Florence Jeltema, father Charles Greenfield, and a sister Julia Mae. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to many. Chuck is survived by his wife Mary Jane King-Budde Greenfield, children Jane Budde-Hall (Douglas) and F. James Budde (Karen) of East Grand Rapids, Thomas Budde (Jody) of Lewistown, Montana, and a brother Perry. His eight adored grandchildren and six precious great-grandchildren will miss him dearly. His family has been blessed with many fond memories to sustain them; of times spent on the beach in Siesta Key, Florida, golf courses in West Michigan, the shores of Lake Michigan near Montague, or simply in the back yard sharing an ice cream on the porch swing with his beloved grand-daughters! For 25 years Chuck worked at Steelcase Inc. as a Quality Control Engineer, endearing Chair Plant colleagues with his infectious smile, sense of humor and enthusiasm. His family wishes to thank the caring staff and directors at Beacon Hill Assisted Living Center for their nurturing care these past four years and in lieu of flowers suggests a memorial donation to the Mary & Martha Fund - Beacon Hill at Eastgate, 1845 Boston St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506.
