Charlotte SMITH Share E-mail Visit Guest Book SMITH, Charlotte Gobles Charlotte Smith, born Charlotte Andrews on January 4, 1932, passed peacefully at home on November 23, 2009. She was living with son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Jill Smith of Gobles. Charlotte is also survived by two other sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jean Smith of Kalamazoo and Ross and Betty Smith of Gobles. Charlotte had four grandchildren René, Dee, Sean, and Nick Smith and four step-grandchildren, Keith, Amanda, Glen, and Gerren Young. Charlotte enjoyed raising a family with her husband Danny, who preceded her in death in 1992. Together, they delighted in traveling and camping in their motor home, square dancing, and numerous friends. During their marriage, they worked as a team to run a furnace installation and repair business for over twenty-five years and after that, a popcorn business in which they grew, processed and marketed the corn. Charlotte had a life long love of gardening, especially growing beautiful flowers. She was a master of the kitchen and enjoyed preparing meals, pies, and treats for family and friends. There will be a memorial service at 11 AM, on November 28, 2009, at the Merson Church, 3313 102nd Avenue, Gobles, Michigan.
