Cheryl Lee Herberger

Cheryl Lee Herberger of Porter Twp, MI passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the age of 60. She was born in Mt. Clemens, MI on December 18, 1960, the daughter of Robert Gilbert and Marie Harlow. Cheryl graduated from Warren Woods Tower High School in Warren, MI in 1978. On October 8, 1983, she was united in marriage to Mark Herberger at Zion Evangelistic Temple in Clawson, MI and they have three children. In the early years of her adult life, she worked as a cosmetologist before moving on to work in the floral industry. She eventually started her own business selling antique and vintage decor, travelling across the greater Midwest. More important than anything else was Cheryl’s faith in her Lord and Savior, her faith in Jesus Christ overflowed into all aspects of her life. Cheryl is preceded in her passing by her father and two grandchildren. Left to cherish her loving memory is her husband of thirty-eight years: Mark Herberger; children: Lindsay Herberger, Blake (Kazmira) Herberger, and Kyle Herberger; three grandchildren; mother: Marie Gilbert; five siblings, Bruce Gilbert, Elizabeth Hildebrandt (Ray), Linda Gilbert, Mary Sirianni (Paul), Ruth Denwiddie (Tony); and many nieces and nephews. In accordance with Cheryl’s wishes cremation has taken place and a public service will take place on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the Schoolcraft Assembly of God, 13000 US-131, Schoolcraft, MI 49087, with a time of visiting from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Fred Betcher officiating, and a luncheon afterwards.
