Christine Moya Ross

Christine Moya (Oliveri) Ross of Portage, MI passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023, at the age of 58. She was born in Stockton, CA on November 4, 1964, the daughter of Joe “Adam” Moya and Saundra Burkhart.

She graduated from the University of La Verne with a Bachelor degree in Organizational Management. Following graduation she met Thomas Ross at Newport Beach, the two were united in holy matrimony on May 1, 1993, in Glendora, CA. After the birth of their first child they moved to Michigan with the intention of her becoming a stay at home mother. Christine considered raising her two children to be the best time of her life. 

She enjoyed gardening with her Stargazer lilies being her favorite flower. In her spare time she also enjoyed scrapbooking, she particularly enjoyed making books focused on her family. 

Most importantly she was a devoted Christian, caring mother, faithful wife, and a loving friend. She saw the best in everyone.

Christine is preceded in her passing by her father.

Left to cherish her loving memory is her husband of twenty-nine years: Thomas Ross; children: Philip Ross and Sarah Ross; mother: Saundra Burkhart; siblings: Gina Oliveri, Rosalie Oliveri, Sophia Oliveri, and Vincent Oliveri; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials made in Christine’s memory may be directed to Beautifully Unique Specialty Boutique of Kalamazoo, MI. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. 

In accordance with the family’s wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Avink, McCowen & Secord Funeral Homes and Cremation Society, 5975 Lovers Lane, Portage, MI 49002, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, with a time of visiting beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service 12:00 noon.
