Clarice was born on October 4th, 1932, and adopted by Harold & Elizabeth (Hood) Jones. She attended Adrian high school and after graduation attended Adrian college. It was there that she met Leo Rench. They were married in August of 1952 and were together 46 years until Leo’s death in December of 1998. In August of 1953 their daughter Marcie was born, followed by their sons Leo junior in August of 1954 and Steve in August of 1958. Leo and Clarice lived in Adrian until they retired. Leo from the public schools and Clarice from American Chain and Cable. In retirement, they moved to Charlevoix. After Leo passed away, Clarice moved to Florida where she lived until 2020 when she came back to Michigan and settled in Portage.
 
Clarice is survived by two children: Leo (Diane) Rench and Steve (Teresa) Rench. Nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Elizabeth Jones; her husband Leo; daughter Marcie and brother Sidney Jones. 

Following her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, July 8 from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. at Avink, McCowen & Secord funeral homes; 5975 Lovers Lane in Portage 269 344-5600.
