Cynthia “Cindy” Mae Hufford, 64, of Schoolcraft, MI, peacefully passed away Saturday,
June 24th 2023. She was born on April 29th, 1959 in Vicksburg, MI to Gordon and Nancy
(Crago) Bozell. She was one of four children. Cindy graduated from Portage Central High
school in 1977. You could find her cruising Westnedge in her red, silver striped 1977 Camaro,
where she soon met her husband, Dale Hufford. They married April 1st, 1989 and started their
lives together. Cindy was known as a ‘mother hen’ growing up, caring for kittens and animals
around her parents' property. She found her life's work in motherhood. They were blessed with
one daughter, and two sons. She loved spending time with her family and was always putting
others before herself. She enjoyed Crystal Gale tunes in the house and attended several of her
concerts. Cindy was quite crafty, and talented at crocheting, making blankets, hats, and several
other items. She was an avid Raiders and U of M football fan. You could hear her cheering
loudly for her favorite teams, always sporting maize and blue or black and silver and making
football shaped jello during the seasons. Her children could always count on her to be at every
sporting event. Her family's main passion is stock car racing. You could find her with her bright
orange blanket tied down with a video camera in one hand, homemade popcorn in the other,
cheering on her family.
She was preceded in death by her father Gordon Bozell and her Maternal Grandparents
and Paternal Grandparents.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Dale Hufford, her children; Allison (Matthew) Bainbridge of Marcellus, Tyler (Kaylee) Hufford of Vicksburg, and Ryan Hufford of Schoolcraft, her Grandson Oliver Bainbridge, Mother Nancy (Crago) Bozell, Sister Katie (Danny) Foote, two Brothers Andy (Debbie) Bozell, Jeff (Stephanie) Bozell, Sister-in-law Sara Slack, two Brother-in-laws Paul Hufford, and Wayne Hufford, and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews, and friends.
