Dana Everett Russell

Dana Everett Russell of Martin, MI went to be with his Lord on Feb. 8, 2022, with family by his side. Dana was 56 years old.  He was born in Chicago Heights, IL on Jan. 10, 1966, to George Santiago and Evelyn Russell. Dana loved anything to do with Air Soft.  He was known as Archrival in the Air Soft circles. Dana was passionate about his model car collection.  He also enjoyed detailing cars.  Dana never walked away from anyone until they were a friend.  He loved to make people happy and adored his children.  He would pick on them, but they were the apple of his eye. He graduated from Otsego Adult Education in 1992.

Visit with family and friends on Friday, February 18 from 4:00pm to 7pm at the Avink McCowen Secord Funeral Home; 120 S. Woodhams St. Plainwell MI 49080. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 19 at 11:00am at the same location.

Dana is survived by his significate other, Carol Rambo; his children: Devin Schneider, Troy Jones and Makayla Plof; siblings: Michael Hogan, Kevin Hogan, Verlinda Pope, Marcia Russell, Tamikio Russell, Ricardo Santiago, Rosa (Aaron) Santiago, Ida (Ben Taylor) Santiago, Chala Santiago, Josefina Santiago, Nena (Cedric Collins) Santiago, Benn Santiago, Daniel (Linda Valdez) Santiago, Jorge (Tanya) Santiago, David Santiago, Saul (Glendalys A Laboy) Santiago, Able (Sandra) Santiago and Sixto (Edith) Santiago as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephew. Dana is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Tony Love and Willie Johnson as well as his best friend Dustin Platteborze.
