Hartford

Daniel R. Beaman, 69, of Hartford, MI, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family on January 7 th , 2024. Dan was born to Ruel and Violet Beaman on October 14 th 1954 in Watervliet, MI. Dan’s family continued residing in Watervliet and he graduated from Watervliet High School. Dan went on to work as a machinist for 44 years at Kelm-Acubar in Benton Harbor, MI. Dan enjoyed his coworkers and time at Kelm-Acubar until his retirement in 2020.

Dan loved being outside, fishing on his boat, tinkering in his garage, and spending time with his family and friends. He also loved spending time with his fur babies, Chatterbox and Cooper. Dan was fiercely loyal and loved his family whole-heartedly. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend one could hope for. Those who knew Dan would come to him often for advice and he would refer to himself as “Helpful Dan”. His infectious laughter, animated stories, endless conversations, and presence will be deeply missed.

Dan is survived by his wife of 12 years, Mary; his daughter, Rebecca Witt; step-children, Kyle Huffman and Jami (James) Huffman; and 6 amazing grandchildren, McKenzie, Austin, Jackson, Forrest, Aimee, and Emily. He is also survived by his sisters: Judy, Sandy, Marge, and Betty and many nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Ruel and Violet Beaman and son, Matthew Beaman.

Please join us June 1st, 2024 as we come together to celebrate the life of Dan. We will make him proud with an outdoor celebration full of all of his favorites: family, friends, burgers, beer and all the best memories. More detail to be announced at a later date.
