CRAWFORD, Daniel Ace SCHOOLCRAFT Daniel passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in the loving arms of his wife Dorothy (Ickes) Crawford on their 64th Wedding anniversary day. Daniel was born January 24, 1931 in Kalamazoo, the son of Ralph and Lucy (Horton) Crawford. He had 3 brothers Donald, Kenneth and L.D. Crawford and 6 sister's Elaine, Luella, Beverly, Betty, JoAnne and one surviving sister, Dorothy "Lefty" LaCoss. Daniel was an avid sports and outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and watching all of his children and grandchildren play sports. He loved to play cards and was an excellent Poker and Blackjack player. He also enjoyed serving his community as he was involved in coaching Little League, Volunteer Firefighter, and serving Friday Night supper's at the church. Daniel is survived by his children: Mae (Ken) Pfost, Bradley Crawford, David (Debbie) Crawford, and Joy (Stephen) Westra, his grandchildren: Todd Pfost, Jason (Kristin) Crawford, David Crawford, Jennifer (Jeff) Gorcyca and Renee (Matt) Marshall, Dayton Pfost, Danielle (Sammy) Mason, and Jordan Westra, and 6 Great Grandchildren, Savanna Crawford, Isabella Crawford, Charlie Gorcyca, Eloise and Evelyn Marshall, and Amelia Marshall. Last but not least is his faithful companion Eli "Big Guy" his dog. Cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 10:00am- 11:00am at the United Methodist Church, 342 N. Grand Street, Schoolcraft, Michigan 49087 with a Celebration Service immediate following at the church. There will be a luncheon held after the service at the American Legion 425 East Clay Street, Schoolcraft, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations sent to West Michigan Cancer Center, Hospice of S.W. Michigan or the Schoolcraft United Methodist Church in honor of Daniel's life.
