David E. Landrum, 79, of Vicksburg, MI passed away unexpectedly January 17, 2021. He was born September 7, 1941 to John C. Landrum, Sr. and Donna (Shrock) Landrum in Elkhart, IN. Dave graduated from White Pigeon High School in 1961.
While serving in the army in the State of Washington, he met his wife, Lorna. They moved their young family to Michigan where they remained. Dave worked 25 years at General Motors (Fisher Body) in Kalamazoo MI and after his retirement, various positions in the Kalamazoo area until his final retirement. He volunteered on the Wakeshma Township Fire Department in Fulton until they eventually moved to Vicksburg, where they currently reside. He enjoyed camping with their close friends, the Happy Campers as well as fishing. He loved to take the grandkids out fishing with him.
Surviving Dave is his wife, of 59 years Lorna; and their children, Lisa (Ed) Robleski of Little Elm Texas, Rod Landrum of Murfreesboro, TN, Lauri (Kevin) Wiessner of Kalamazoo, MI and Rick (Kay) Landrum of Portage, MI. He will be dearly missed also by his grandkids and great grandkids, Amanda, Danielle, Travis, Zach, Grace, Michael, Abel, Theo, Juliet and Phoenix. He is survived as well by his step-mother, Marian Landrum of Colon, MI. He is the oldest of 10 kids, Michael Landrum, of Mendon, MI, Sheryl Levering of Kalamazoo, MI, Angela Landrum of Kendallville, IN, Charles (Carol) Landrum of Marcellus, MI, Timothy (Cecelia) Landrum of Scotts, MI, Kimberly Landrum of Constantine, MI and Sally (Gary) Belote of Colon, MI. He was proceeded in death by his mother, father and 2 brothers, Thomas Landrum and John Landrum Jr.
We will be having a celebration of life later in 2021 due to Covid restrictions.
