David Eugene Rumsey II

David Eugene Rumsey ll was born February 24th, 1968, to parents Joyce Josey (Taylor) and David Eugene Rumsey. David passed away December 29th, 2023, peacefully in his home. David was an avid hunter and fisherman. As a young man he spent most of his time with his father rebuilding and restoring classic cars. David was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his Grandchildren. David loved animals and spent the last of his days tending to all his ducks, dogs, chickens and goats. David was a stubborn man with a tough exterior, but to those who really got to know him also knew how goofy and loving he was to those close in his life. On his best days you could catch him singing Journey and dancing to Elvis. David will be missed dearly by his family and close friends.

David is survived by his wife Christianne Rumsey; his three daughters: Anne McKellips, Rachael Rumsey, and Kirsten Rumsey; his three stepchildren: Anthony Brown-Schmidt, Jacob Brown-Schmidt, and Dominic Brown-Schmidt and his seven grandchildren: Audrey McKellips, Nash Cummins, Hudson Cummins, Aliyah Cummins, Brinley Coak, Leonidas Brown, and Dominic Brown Jr. David is also survived by his sister Laurine Rumsey and her three children Jamie Hopper, Matthew Hill, and Megan Hill.

David was preceded in death by his father David Rumsey and his mother Joyce Josey. A memorial will be held closer to the summer as those were his wishes. Friends and family will be contacted and asked to join closer to the memorial. Please keep his family in your thoughts at this time.
