Charles "Dean" Kisinger, 86, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2014. Dean was born May 18, 1927 and was delivered by his grandmother in her home in Alamo Township, MI. He was the third of six children, grew up on his family's farm, graduated from Otsego High School and earned B.S and M.A. degrees in Education from Western Michigan University. Dean held teaching and administrative positions in the Comstock, Portage and Grand Haven school districts and retired from the latter in 1983. He was married to Patricia Jeanne Korn on February 2, 1952 and they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary earlier this year. Dean proudly served in the U.S. Navy in W.W. II and the Korean War. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, landscaping/yard work, and being out in nature. Dean was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Bertha "Lenore" (Hoskins) Kisinger, his brother Philip Duane and sister Mary Lou Cook. He is survived by his loving wife Pat, his children Eric Kisinger, Ellen Kisinger-Rothi and her husband Patrick Rothi, Dana Kisinger, Kirk Kisinger and his wife Connie and their children Payton and Braden (Dean's grandchildren), sister Allene Guidebeck, brothers Larry and Gary Kisinger, and numerous nieces and nephews.
