Deborah L. Stone

Deborah Stone, 66, of Gobles, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.  She was born August 18, 1956, the daughter of Roger and Carol “Sue” (Hutchinson) Rantz. Debbie loved skiing and worked in the family business at Timer Ridge Ski Area, where she was the head of Group and Season Ticket Sales. She was united in marriage to Harold “Hank” at Timber Ridge in 2000, and he survives. She is also survived by one son, Justin Cosby; Hank’s children, Courtney (Justin) Stone-Lipscomb and Jason Stone; two grandchildren, Avery and Oliver; two siblings, Gaylene (Steve) Haslett and Lauri Jean (Bruce) Stone; and her many “greats” great nieces and nephews to whom she was known as Aunt Shake-Shake. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sue, and her brother Jack Rantz.

Debbie was a 10-year breast cancer survivor, just one example of her fighting spirit. She kept a positive attitude and sense of humor and received great care from West Michigan Cancer Center, Bronson Oncology and Centrica Care Navigators. She kept her sense of humor and was even cracking jokes right up until she passed away. She will be missed beyond words.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 12 noon, Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the Lake Doster Clubhouse, 116 Country Club Blvd., Plainwell, MI 49080.
