Diana Soto, a devoted soul known for her unwavering commitment to her family, her community, and her faith, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2024, in Grand Rapids, MI, at the age of 68. Born on June 4, 1955, in Hanford, CA, Diana was the beloved daughter of Audon and Eugenia Saldibar.
Diana dedicated 32 years of her life to serving others through her work with Child Protective Services, later transitioning to Adult Protective Services. Her passion for helping those in need was recognized with the prestigious Super Hero Award, a testament to her hard work, compassion, and dedication.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Diana found solace and joy in nature's beauty. She nurtured both vegetables and flowers in her cherished garden and delighted in the graceful presence of hummingbirds. Her love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds, and her devotion to her home church, Greater Life Pentecostal in Walker, MI, was unwavering.
Diana is preceded in death by her parents, her infant son Mario, and her siblings Blanca and Audon Jr. She is survived by her loving children Gabriel Soto and Nicky (Tianna) Jimenez Jr., her adored grandchildren Mateo, Myles, and Canelo, and her siblings Joan Saldivar, Angel Saldibar, Julie (Adrian) Ortega, Alicia Davidson, and Patricia Saldibar. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her brother-in-law Marcos Arvizu.
Diana's legacy of love, compassion, and service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty she so cherished and the love she so generously gave.
In accordance with the family's wishes public services will be held at the Fountain of Truth Apostolic Tabernacle, 6116 Marsh Rd, Shelbyville, MI 49344, on Friday, April 19, 2024, with a time for visiting beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon with Pastors Daniel Jimenez and Craig Kleiman officiating. Diana will be laid to rest with her family at East Martin Cemetery following the service.
Memorials made in Diana's name may be directed to the Fountain of Truth Apostolic Tabernacle, 6116 Marsh Rd, Shelbyville, MI 49344. Envelopes will be available at the service.
