Diane Russon

The family of Diane Louise Russon of Portage, Michigan is saddened to announce her passing at Rose Arbor on Thursday March 13, 2025, at the age of 77 years.

She leaves her son Raymond (Ray) M. Russon and wife Christine; son Randall (Randy) Russon and wife Karen; grandchildren: Heather and husband Damon; Amie; Rachel and husband Dawson; and Patrick; great granddaughter Sophia; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Don and her parents Clinton and Marion Knight.

Diane, daughter of Clinton Knight and Marion (Starrett) Knight, was born June 11, 1947, at Borgess hospital.

Diane graduated from Portage High School where she wrote for the school paper. In 1966, she married Donald Russon. In 1968 they welcomed their son Ray and in 1971 their son Randy. After starting her family, Diane became a secretary at Amberly and then Haverhill until she retired.

Diane enjoyed spending time with her family and making cards. She loved her family and was happiest when she was with them. While her family will miss her greatly, they take comfort in remembering the good times and all that was special about her.

A memorial gathering will be held at Avink, McCowen, Secord funeral home at 5975 Lovers Lane on Saturday March 22 from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a memorial service following at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rose Arbor Hospice.
