Dolores Linstead

Dolores Lee Linstead, age 81, passed away Tuesday November 26, 2024 at home with her three children by her side. Dolores was born November 9, 1943 to the late Victor Sr, and Maxine (Castor) Campbell in Kalamazoo.

She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1961 and went on to attend a local beauty college and became a beautician. Later, she became a licensed daycare provider and ran a daycare from her home.

Dolores had great pride in her three children; Lori, Jim and Melissa. She loved her family beyond measure and they meant the world to her. Dolores enjoyed her home. Her hobbies included working with her lawn, bushes and flowers. She also loved to take day trips to Lake Michigan, enjoying the local shops and the beautiful scenery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Sr and Maxine Campbell, sister MaryAnn Byers, and brother Victor Campbell Jr. She is survived by her three children, Lori (Todd) Totzke, James Linstead and Melissa (Bryan) Hoeksema all of Kalamazoo; seven grandchildren, Kimberly (Steve) Miller, Steven Totzke, Brandon (Breanna) Linstead, Aiden Linstead, Keegan Dykehouse, MacKenzie Peter, and Gavin Hoeksema; and five great grandchildren, Kaylynn, KaVone, Kade, Karson and Major.

Dolores had the most wonderful neighbors who looked out for her for many years. The family would especially like to thank her very good friends, Debbie and Carolyn, for helping her family care for her during her last days

In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place and a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Centrica Hospice.
