Donald D. Bogema

Donald D. Bogema, of Schoolcraft passed away at home after a battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the age of 69. He was on born August 9, 1955, in Portage, MI. He was the son of William R. Bogema and Virginia May Hildebrand Bogema. In 1976 he married Linda Mendham and together they enjoyed 48 years together. 

He had two sons: William and Matthew. Don was very proud of his family. Don was a builder and a jack of all trades. He was taught at an early age by his dad and uncles how to do many things. He was someone that also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. 

Don is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons: William (Genevieve) Bogema and Matthew (Loretta) Bogema; four grandchildren: Hunter, Elijah, Barrett, and Lauren. He is also survived by mother: Virginia and his two sisters: Cindy (Jim) Coffey and Julia Zugel.

He is preceded in death by his dad, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles. 

Don has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held next summer.
