Passed away Dec. 22, 2010 at Borgess Hospital surrounded in love by his wife, children, grandchildren and pastor. Donald was born Sept. 5, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA the son of J. Benigno and Dorothy (Humphreys) Diaz. He was Past District Governor of Rotary District 6360, 2000-2001. Don was retired from Clark Equipment and from his own photography studio, Lakeside Studio. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Thomas on Sept. 3, 1949 who survives. Also surviving are their children; Joyce (Gary) Gibson, Cindy (Dave) Chamberlin, Val (Larry) Osborne, Derek (Renee') Humphreys and Jill (Rick) Steele, 16 grandchildren; Gavin Gibson (Jackie Eng), Bethany (Nick) Gauthier, Evan (Erica) Chamberlin, Drew (Jessica) Chamberlin, Nick (Tara) Steele, Justin (Staci) Gibson, Maureen Osborne (George Lovequist), Adam Chamberlin (Brooke VanHouten), Laura Osborne, Samantha (Traver) Gay, Breanne (Mac) Walker, Tony Osborne, Rachel Humphreys, Brandon Humphreys, Allie Steele and Jenifer Steele, 5 great grandchildren; Lillie and Lane Steele, Maddy Gauthier, Emma Gay and Peyton Chamberlin, brothers and sisters; Dottie (Geno) Filippini, Philip (Jackie) Diaz, Paul (Nancy) Diaz, Ben (Francine) Diaz, Mary (Joe) Pitonak, Liz (Harry) Arnold and Simone Piccari and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Ewing and a nephew, Eric Hight. At his request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday Dec. 28, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church in Richland, Dr. Mark Jennings, officiating. Reception to follow at the church. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Rotary International Polio Fund or the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund in Richland.
