On August 18, 2023, Donald L. Tinkey accepted a new adventure, he is now towing the stars and clouds of our lives. Donald Lee Tinkey was born April 25th, 1969 to Richard L.and Mary L. (Hunt) Tinkey.
He resided in the Kalamazoo area for most of his life. He worked for over 30 years as a tow truck driver at McDonald's Towing. A job that he truly loved, along with the friends he made. Especially Craig McDonald and Larry Bradley, Terry Kizer, as well as many others. He would help anyone, anywhere, anytime which made this job perfect for him.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, camping, watching nascar racing on tv, spending time with friends and family but his favorite hobbies were scratch off tickets, drinking pepsi and flipping everyone off, as well as working on vehicles. In 2004 he achieved what he believed to be his greatest achievement; he became a father to Larissa Marie Elaine. Later he met his partner NaTasha Johnson and her sons Zacharia and Cameron, and they grew as a family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Tinkey. His grandparents William and Lorena Hunt, Sam and Viola Tinkey.
Donald is survived by his daughter Larrisa Tinkey, Mother Mary L. Tinkey, Brothers Ben Allen, Richard (Sharon) Tinkey. Nieces Jessica L.Tinkey, Melissa (Edward Jr.) Peer. Nephew James A. Tinkey. His life Partner NaTasha Johnson.
