Donna Fay Cox

COX, DONNA FAY Age 81. Passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Cremation will occur. A memorial service officiated by Rev. Meg Jenista will occur at 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Third Christian Reformed Church, 2400 Winchell, Kalamazoo, MI. Donna was born October 7, 1930 in Versailles, MO to Mary Marie (Frisbie) and William Orville Tolliver. She spent most of her life in Kansas City, MO. As a teenager, she sang for troops at U.S.O. events during World War II. She was married to Ray Edward Cox from December 2, 1950 until his death in 2005. She worked as a secretary for Diebold, Inc. for 32 years until she and Ray retired in 1990 to Bella Vista, AR. In Bella Vista, she led an active life, volunteering for numerous agencies. She moved to the Kalamazoo area in 2010 to be closer to her sons and their families. Surviving are a sister, Shirley Wheeler of Henderson, NV; sons Steven (Janice) Cox of Schoolcraft and Jeffrey (Linda) Cox of Kalamazoo; grandchildren Emily Cox and Daniel Cox; and step-grandson Matthew (April) Missias and their daughter Elenie Grace. The family is grateful for the care Donna received from Erika Hopper and the staffs of Bickford Cottage of Portage and Hospice Care of SW Michigan.
