Dorothy Ramsey

Dorothy Marie Ramsey of Plainwell, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the age of 97. She was born on October 28, 1926, to loving parents Frank and Pauline (Wachowiak) Faulhaber.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Sam and her son Jeff. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.

She is survived by her children: Carl (Kenley) Ramsey, Joyce Swinehart, John (Teresa Arms) Ramsey and her daughter-in-law Rhonda Ramsey; her sister Betty Patterson; eight grandchildren: Jeffery, Derek, Kristy, Erin, Kimberly, Sarah, Katie and Matthew as well as eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Dorothy found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed watching the young and the restless and the Detroit Lions. She also loved to travel. When at home, she would have a full cookie jar for family and friends, and you could find her working on a word search.

A memorial service to honor Dorothy's life is being planned at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Dorothy’s memory to a charity of your choice.
