Dorothy(Dotty) Tank. Age 83, passed away on December 19, 2019. She was the wife of the late Harry Tank. They lived in Marcellus at the farm and spent over 50 years together.
Born on October 7, 1936 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Emmanuel and Mildred Svoboda. Dorothy graduated from Lindblom High School in 1954 . She retired from the G.W. Jones Bank where she worked as a bank teller.
Dorothy was a member of the Marcellus United Methodist Church and an avid Red Hatter. She loved to sing with family or the choir, bake, read, watch movies, and play games. Also, spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. Dorothy will be remembered for her big heart, stories, and her love of food.
She is survived by her brother, Bob Svoboda; her daughters, Luanne Shaw and Susan Swift(Jerry); her grandchildren, Aimee Johnston(Kevin) and Andrew Shaw(Heather); her great grandchildren, Gage, Jaiden, Archer, and Piper.
She was predeceased by her parents, Emmanuel and Mildred Svoboda; her brother Les Svoboda; her husband Harry Tank.
A memorial service for Dorothy will be held at the Marcellus United Methodist Church on December 28, 2019 at 1pm. The visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service.
