Dzintars Abuls

Dzintars Abuls, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on September 15th 2019, in Plainwell, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his sister Dzidra (Abuls) Ozolins. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Biruta, sister Velta (Janis) Lazda of Glenview, IL and three children: Peteris (Cherie) Abuls of Winnetka, IL, Mikelis (Tia) Abuls of Brookfield, WI and Diana (Andris) Karklins of Plainwell, MI and eight grandchildren: Kristine, Karlis, Livia, Marks, Davis, Robert, Solvita and Katrina. Dzintars was born in Smiltene, Latvia in 1932, immigrated to the United States 1950 and became a US citizen. He was a member of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran United Church of Kalamazoo, MI. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Aija Graham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Latvian Center "Garezers" or the American Heart Association.
