Edward W. Marsh, age 71, of Jones, MI passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018.
He was born May 18, 1946 the son of Edward and Helen (Griffin) Marsh.
He attended Jones and Three Rivers Schools and lived most of his life in the Jones area. Edward served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Silver Star, Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medals, Co. D, 11th BDE, 21st Infantry Americal, 1969-1970. He was Honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He was a member of the Newberg Fire Department from January 1967 to July 2017 and a Life Member of Marcellus V.F.W. Post 4054 and was Past Commander. Edward was formerly employed with Statler Ready-Mix in Kalamazoo for 28 years and was a member of the Teamsters. He was part of the American Huey Group 369. Edward was also an accomplished photographer and always carried a camera with him. Ed was a fun loving guy, never knew a stranger. He loved his friends, neighbors and military comrades and he was loved by all. His smile, and joking personality will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by many neighbors, good friends and military comrades.
