Edwin "Ed" Broadhurst

Edwin Allen Broadhurst passed away suddenly on August 18, 2022, at the age of 72.  Ed was born on April 1, 1950, to Carlyle & Myrtle (VanArsdal) Broadhurst. Ed enjoyed golfing regularly with Jim Pegg. Visit with family and friends on Wednesday, August 24 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Avink McCowen Secord Funeral Home Plainwell Chapel; 120 S. Woodhams St. in Plainwell.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. Ed served his country proudly in the US Army during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jackie; his three children: Jay Broadhurst, Coby Broadhurst and Eric (Deb) Anderson; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; his siblings: Gary VanArsdal, Jimmy (Irene) Broadhurst, Dale (Suzanne) Broadhurst, Brenda (Steve) Pride and Linda Lillion; his mother Myrtle Broadhurst; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim (Bonnie) Pegg; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father Carlyle.

Ed enjoyed golfing and riding his Harley.  He also liked to fish.  Ed drove the Yoplait Yogurt truck for 25 years. Together with Jackie, they built five houses together. During the last 5 years they enjoyed wintering in Arizona.
