Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2010 to be joined with the Lord after a short but courageous battle with Lymes Disease. Born on Febuary 21, 1947, in Kalamazoo, Ed was a son of Chester and Minniebelle (Chapman) Parker. Ed was a member of the Schoolcraft Presbyterian Church, Plumbers/pipefitters Local 357, and of the Porcupine Hunters Club. On November 9, 2002 he married Tamara (Townsend) Parker who survives. He is also survived by their children; Steven (Honey) Parker, Jacob (Mary) Parker, Lucas (Jennifer) Parker, Addie Parker, Kyla (Nathan) Penning, Casey (Kelly) Newman, and 10 grandchildren and mother Minniebelle, brothers; Thomas (Glenna) Parker, Robert (Patti) Parker, James (Rita) Parker, inlaws; Dallas and Josephine Townsend, Floyd and Mildred Holes, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. He was preceeded in death by father Chester Parker, daughter Amy Sue Parker, and wife Jane (Holes) Parker. Visitation will be held on Sunday February 7th at 2:00-4:00, and funeral services will be held Monday February 8th at 6:00 pm at Local 357 Union Hall on Shaver and Hwy 131 (also an entrance at U Ave).
