Eleanor Evelyn Parzyck (July 16, 1923 -- January 19, 2016)
Eleanor Evelyn Parzyck, known by all as Ellie, passed away peacefully January 19, 2016 at the age of 92. She was born July 16, 1923 in Detroit, MI to Ludwig Ochmanek and Katrazyna Matusiak. Ellie graduated from Southwestern High School in Detroit. She met Frank Parzyck when she worked at Ford Motor Company and they married at St. John Cantius Church in 1948. They had 6 children and lived in Michigan her entire life. She was widowed in 1974.
Ellie lived her life always thinking of others. She devoted herself to being a mother and grandmother and she loved her babies. Her personality was one of joy, sensitivity and love. She made a difference in peoples lives, always providing a listening ear and unconditional love. She was humble and never realized how impactful she truly was. While she survived her share of heartaches, Ellie also enjoyed life to the fullest. She was always up for an adventure and would often travel, visiting her children out of state -- flying, even at the age of 89, in order to see her first great grandchild born.
She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Divine Child Church in Dearborn for 40 years. Her faith was her foundation and because of that, we now have an angel in Heaven. We will miss her wonderful smile, love and sense of humor.
The Funeral Mass will be held at Divine Child Church in Dearborn, MI on February 6, 2016 beginning with a visitation in the community room at 9:00 AM and Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Hedwig's Cemetery followed by a luncheon.
