Betty Lowe

Elizabeth “Betty” Louise (Dorrance) Lowe went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the age of 94. Betty was born on March 31, 1930 in Scotts, Michigan, daughter of Orlin and Ivah (Haas) Dorrance. She was a resident of the Scotts/Vicksburg area.

On October 22, 1949 Betty was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Lowe who preceded her in death in 2005. Also, preceding her in death was her daughter, Beth Haines; Beth's son, Jason Haines; parents; siblings, Lloy (Richard) Haw, Faith (Edward) Zobel, Keith Dorrance, Leslie (LaVon) Dorrance and Kenneth (Donna) Dorrance; sisters-in-law, Harriet (LaVerne) Oakleaf, Helen Stafeniski, Dorothy Klaussen; brother-in-law, Patrick Lowe and Robert (Patricia) Lowe. 

Surviving is her son, Richard “Rick” (Kim) of Three Rivers; grandchildren, Jared, Jordan (Amanda), Lauren Haines, Corey and Kelly Aukerman; nine great grandchildren, Caleb, Emma, Eli, Zoey, Sawyer, Cole, Dawson (Rachel) Aukerman, Abigail Braat, Jordynne; great great grandchild, Atlas; and three dear nieces, Anne Haw, Christine Dorrance, Nancy Zobel, with many more nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Betty’s wishes a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 5855 W Ave E, Vicksburg, MI 49097, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 with mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. Betty will be laid to rest at Mint Cemetery following the service.

Memorials made in Betty’s memory may be directed to St. Martin of Tours. Envelopes will be available at the service.
