Elizabeth Eleanor Siegfried

SIEGFRIED, E. Eleanor (Cousins) Kalamazoo Passed away Nov. 8, 2011 in Grand Rapids. Eleanor was born Nov. 22, 1935 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Forest and Elizabeth (Buckley) Cousins of Galesburg. She graduated from WMU with a teaching degree. She worked at Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital for 11 years and was a substitute teacher for many years. Eleanor retired from the Department of Social Services after 23 years of service. She enjoyed classical music, her home, many animals, gardening and bowling. Surviving is her spouse; Ford L. Granger of Kalamazoo, 3 children; Kevin (Linda) Siegfried of Kalamazoo, James E. Siegfried of Parchment and Christine (David) Gates of Covert and (Gena Brabon of Kalamazoo). 10 grandchildren; David, Amanda, Nathan, Christina, Brenda, James, Justin, Shawna, Harland Gates (17) and Cheyenne (Gates) Taylor (15), 7 great grandchildren, a sister; Jennifer D. Phillips of Galesburg, several nieces and nephews. At her request cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service 2pm Thursday Nov. 17, 2011 at the Galesburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Whitney Brown officiating.
