Eric Steven Brightwell

Eric Steven Brightwell, 48, of Lawton, MI, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born on Saturday, August 2, 1975, in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of David A. Brightwell and Sharon M. Lovely.

Eric is survived by his father Dave Brightwell, and his mother Sharon Lovely; his brothers Michael (Holly) Brightwell, Craig Brightwell; son Austin Palmer, & daughter Brittany King; granddaughter Charlotte King; grandparents Paul & Sharron Hudson, and Wilma Brightwell; step-mother Mary Anne Brightwell; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Eric is preceded in death by his step-father Donny Carlson.

Eric loved to hunt and enjoyed softball.

An open house remembrance for Eric will be held on Saturday January 6, 2024 at the Porter Township Hall, 88040 M-40, Lawton, MI 49065, from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Gift of Life Michigan.
