Ester Louise Cody

Cody, Ester Louise Age 90 Baton Rouge, LA Formerly of Paw Paw, MI Passed away Thursday January 21, 2010 at Landmark Nursing Home of Baton Rouge, LA. Ester was born April 14, 1919 the daughter of Levi and Ester (Hoger) Conner. She graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1938. On August 20, 1946 she married Howard W. Cody in Aberdeen, Maryland, they lived in Paw Paw, MI till he preceded her in death on January 26, 1996. Also preceding her in death were her sister-in-law Marion (Robert) Tessman. Surviving are a daughter Priscilla (Daniel) Burch of Baton Rouge LA, son William (Kathryn) Cody of Kalamazoo, MI, 3 grandsons Timothy Terry Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA, David Burch of Sheveport, LA, and Ethan Cody of Kalamazoo, MI, 2 great grandchildren Timothy (Danielle) Terry Jr. Fort Polk, LA and Michael Terry of Baton Rouge, LA. A brother David (Pat) Conner of Paw Paw, MI. A sister Catherine (Glenn) Burke of Zephyrhills, FL. At her request cremation has taken place. Arrangements are being made by Avink Funeral Home Cremation Society, Schoolcraft, Michigan. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be directed to Hospice of Michigan or American Red Cross, Haiti Relief Fund.
