Eunice LaFountain

Eunice Louise “Tootie” LaFountain, of Plainwell, died Thursday May 7, 2020 at the age of 82. Eunice was born on February 16, 1938 to Max and Helen (Shingledecker) Harrison in Plainwell, Michigan. She passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side. Eunice was an avid member of her church, Doster Community Church, where she volunteered for over 50 years - running Holiday food drives for the church for over 35 years. Eunice also worked and retired from Parker Hannifin in Otsego. When Eunice wasn’t volunteering or working, she loved summers with her kids when they stayed in cabins along the lake where they grilled and fished together. She also loved country music. But above all, Eunice loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Steven LaFountain; daughter Deborah Smith; two sisters, one brother, nine grandchildren and 14 great grand children. She is preceded in death by her husband Louis Edward Sr., son Louis Edward Jr., three brothers, one sister and one great grandchild.
