Florence Marie Monroe

Florence Marie Monroe of Schoolcraft, age 97, formerly known as Florence Marie Clark, born June 27, 1926 in Fostoria MI, peacefully passed away on May 22, 2024 at Fountainview, Portage, MI. Florence was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend.
 
 Throughout her life, Florence touched the hearts of many with her kindness, grace, and unwavering love. She was a devoted wife to her deceased husband Robert Monroe and together they shared 68 years of precious memories and love.
 
 Florence is survived by her loving sons Denny (Karen) Monroe and Phillip (Donita) Monroe. Her grandsons Brian Monroe and Jason Monroe, along with her granddaughter Amber Hodson, will forever cherish the wonderful moments spent with their grandmother. Florence's legacy lives on through her great-grandchildren: Ashley Monroe, Nathan Hodson and Chloe Hodson. She also leaves behind her dear sister Lucy Jarvis.
 
 Florence's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for her compassion, warmth, and the light she brought into the lives of those around her.
 
 May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she was cherished and loved beyond measure by her family and friends.
 
 Interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery on June 4, 2024, at 9:30 am.
