Frank Bruce Connell, 87, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, September 2, 2019, at his home in Vicksburg, Michigan. Born in Chicago, Illinois on July 4, 1932, he was son to the late Norton F. Connell and Ruth Palmer Connell. He was preceded in death by his son Timothy and wife, DeLois Ann McNew Connell. He is survived by his two sons, John (Michelle) of Vicksburg, MI and Jeffrey Connell of Hollywood, California; three grandsons, Matthew Jackson, Ryan and William Connell all of Vicksburg, Michigan.
Frank served in the U.S. Military in the Korean War as a Radio Traffic Analyst from January 12, 1953 to September 12, 1954. During his service, he received the National Defense Service Metal. He went on to college where he graduated on June 16, 1962 and obtained Bachelor of Science degree in General Education at Northwestern University. Frank started his lifetime career as Purchasing Manager at Motorola in Schaumburg, Illinois. During his travels he met his beautiful bride DeLois Ann McNew and they were later married in Long Grove, Illinois in 1974. Apart from his career, Frank greatest accomplishment was that of a loving husband, father and grandfather.
There will be no public visitation held per Frank’s wishes. A celebration of his life will be held privately with his family.
